Mike is a life-long child advocate. He was a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in Hennepin County from 1996 to 2008 and joined the CASA MN Board in 2002. He is a founding Board member of the Friends of Children and founded Kids at Risk Action (KARA) in 2001. He wrote Invisible Children, a book about being a CASA Guardian ad Litem to give a voice to abused and neglected children.

He attended Moorhead State and the U of M and was a serial entrepreneur. His auto recycling stories are the most interesting. He enjoys writing, trees/flowers, books, yoga, Britbox, nice food and fun things with his sweety Cathy.
