Giving Minnesota children a voice.

At CASA MN, we are driven

to create an environment where every child in foster and kinship care feels supported, heard, and valued. Our mission is to support and promote court-appointed volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Minnesota and to enrich the lives of children in foster care

“It is our goal that every child in the dependency system has a trained CASA or GAL volunteer. We will continue our work to create and expand these critical programs because we have seen firsthand that these volunteer advocates make a positive difference in children’s lives.”

– Statement by 15 past presidents of NCJFCJ

“I had the privilege to preside over numerous child protection cases in which volunteer GsAL were appointed. I saw firsthand how their focus on the child’s best interests clarified the issues and helped to hold the system accountable.”

– Kathleen Blatz,
Retired MN Supreme Court Chief Justice
and State Guardian ad Litem board member

“The service you provide is necessary and, wisely, provides a statutorily required independent voice for children. The need for this independent voice is imperative to a well-functioning child welfare system.”

– Ann S. Ahlstrom, Chair,
Minnesota Guardian ad Litem Board
